Fundraising Updates

Irmo Band Day at Schlotzsky's Deli Schlotzsky's Deli on Bush River Road will be hosting an Irmo Band Day once a month.  For each customer that identifies themselves with Irmo Band, Schlotzsky's will donate 10% of those purchases to the Band!

This day will be the 3rd Thursday of every month.  We encourage you and all your friends and family to visit Schlotzsky's on these days.

Band Patron Sponsors

This is great way to get family, friends, and local businesses to support your student and the program.  80% of the sponsor funds go directly to your assessment account.  This is a great way to pay your marching band assessments.

Alumni Updates

First-Ever Alumni Weekend To all Bands of Irmo Alumni,

Please keep homecoming weekend October 7-9 open on your calendar for our first ever Bands of Irmo Alumni weekend.

Travis Coakley, Director of Bands, is requesting you to play in the stands at homecoming on Friday night, October 8th with the current marching band of 2010.

We are in the beginning stages of planning many events for you to connect with old friends and meet some new ones. Also plan to cheer this year’s marching band on at our Newberry competition on Saturday, October 9th.

For more information please be sure to register as an Alumni at www.irmoband.org and add theirmoband@yahoo.com to your address book as information will be sent out in the near future.

Music will also be posted on the web site for you to brush up on your tunes in the near future.

Some of the events being planned:

  • A "Great to See You Dinner" at the High School (donation requested)
  • Silent Auction of band “artifacts” (we are accepting artifacts to auction also)
  • Playing in the stands with the band
  • Get together at a local restaurant after the game

If you have artifacts like pictures, shirts and so on you would like to donate for the silent auction please send a list to theirmoband@yahoo.com.
