"Reach for the Stars"

The 2010 Miss Irmo Yellow Jacket Pageant is open to all girls attending Irmo High School, in grades 9-12.  This is an opportunity for girls to share with the school and community who they are, what they are interested in, what they have accomplished, and what they are reaching for in their future.  Join us as you Reach for your Star!

 

In the pageant, the girls will be performing a light opening dance routine (no formal dance experience required), showing off their look in sportswear and formalwear, and answering a question for the judges.

 

We will be recognizing contestants with the following awards:

Family and Friends: The Miss Yellow Jacket Pageant is offering family and friends of participants the opportunity to purchase items to support participants as well as remember the event and her participation for years to come. From flowers to DVDs, you decide. Items can be purchased individually or in packages. Orders are due by March 11th.  Click here to view and print the order form.

The pageant will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 7:00pm in the auditorium of Irmo Elementary School; doors open at 6:15pm.  The school is located at 7401 Gibbes Street, Irmo, SC 29063.  Click here for the address and a map to the school.

 

Tickets will be available at the door for $8.00 (all ages).  Entertainment during set changes and intermission will be provided by members of the Irmo High School Jazz Band and the Dance Department studio.

 

 

Application (Closed for 2010):  To register for the pageant, girls should download and complete the application.  The application is in MS Word format and must be typed (no hand-written applications).  Applications should be printed and turned into the band director, Mr. Travis Coakley, in the band room at IHS or the front office.  The deadline for applications is Monday, March 1, 2010.
