Assessment
fundraiser - The Fall 2008
sale is underway and is a great way to earn
money towards your assessments.
Many people want
pine straw for their yard in the spring. Now they
can get it, delivered for free. Your customers can
give you the order form with payment or mail to the Band
Booster post office (address on the form).
You can take
orders now - simply download the two forms
below. Print as many of the one-page
flyers as you need, write your name and phone
number is the place provided, and pass them
out or drop them off to as many people as you
can.

The other form is
your order tracking form. Record all
your orders on this form and turn this in with
all your payments to the Band Booster box in the
bandroom on or before to October 10. Keep a copy
of the order form for your records.
Any orders that
are mailed to the Band Booster post office box
will be credited to you - please ensure your
name is on the form!
Delivery and
pickup is Saturday, October 18. All students
that sold pine straw will need to help with
this. We will need parents to help also,
especially with deliveries. If you have a
trailer that you can deliver with, we need
you! We will have maps and directions
for you.

PALMETTO ESPRIT DE CORPS
PROGRAM AD SALES |
With our Palmetto band event on Sept. 27, we sell programs to spectators.
You can sell ads for this program. Sell to local businesses for as
little as $25, with their ad printed in the program for all to see.

HUNGRY HOWIE'S PIZZA

Assessment
fundraiser. Sell to family, friends,
businesses, and even yourself!
This is a
sell-in-advance promotion. Take orders
with money for a medium, one-topping pizza
(carry-out only) for $7.00. After Sept. 15,
certificates will be delivered to selling
student to give to customer. 80% of the
profit goes towards your assessment. If
you buy and use for yourself, you only pay $4.60
for a pizza!

Booster box in the band room.

PUBLIX and BI-LO
REWARDS CARDS
Ongoing |
Pick
up a Irmo Band Publix card on any Thursday night. Use at
Publix when you shop and Publix will make a donation to the band. It
costs you nothing and the band benefits. If you would like a Publix
card, pick one up at the band field or e-mail us
and we will mail you one.
E-mail
theirmoband@yahoo.com. Use
your Bi-Lo Rewards card and Bi-Lo will make a donation to the band each
time you use your card at any store. To sign up, you pick up a coupon
during the Spirit Sale or any Thursday night, take it to Bi-Lo, and have
them scan it with your Bi-Lo Bonus card. You can also download and
print the
Bi-Lo Irmo Band Booster
Coupon yourself. You only need to do this once
a year, each fall. It costs you nothing and you still get all your normal shopping
benefits - plus the band benefits.

| FOOTBALL CONCESSION |
General
Fundraiser - We
will operate a concession at home football games
this year as a general fundraiser. We will
be selling drinks, chips, candy, etc. Please
look for us at the games. We need volunteers
to help staff this concession for all home
games. You can sign up for first half or
second half (or the whole
game!)Check the calendar for home games. |

FRUIT
|
Fruit Sale will start in late
October 2008. This is our largest
fundraiser of the year. Fruit almost sells itself, you just have to
ask. |

HoneyBaked Ham
Gift Certificates |
Watch for this in the
fall of 2008!
Here is a really great
fundraiser we have back this year - HoneyBaked
Ham gift certificates. These are sold in
denominations of $10, $25, $35, and $50 and are
good at any HoneyBaked Ham store,
with no expiration date.
The best part is
that 20% of the value comes back to the band.
Of this profit, 80% goes towards your assessment
account. So, for a $25 gift certificate, the
band gets $5 total. Of this $5, you get $4.
For a $50 certificate, you get $8.
As you a eat ham
or turkey for the holidays or give certificates
as gifts, what a great way to pay yourself at
the same time.

PIZZA HUT
Concessions at the Colonial Center

Coming soon
for 2008.
The
Irmo Band has been once again been offered a
Fund Raising opportunity from Pizza Hut. Pizza
Hut operates two concession stands at the
Carolina Center for USC home basketball games
and other special events, such as concerts and
shows.
This is a
great way to earn funds that will go toward your
band assessment and have fun at the same time.
Usually three people are needed per event. Pizza
Hut pays $7.00 per hour and, as usual, the
General Band Fund gets 20% and the student (or
the person working for the student) gets the
remaining 80% for their band account. All
transfer of funds is done directly through the
Pizza Hut office. All you do is show up to work
for about 3-5 hours, depending on the event.

Assessment
fundraiser. Ticket cost
is $5.00. All students are asked to sell at
least 5 tickets each. All students are
required to participate so that we can meet our
goal for this fundraiser!

Chico hosts “Bands of Irmo”
nights.
Sign
in at the door and join old friends and new for
good food and fun! El Chico will donate a
portion of the proceeds from 5:00
p.m. until closing to The Bands of Irmo!

Fundraising is
an integral part of the Bands of Irmo program.
Student
Assessments may be paid by cash, credit card or through
fundraiser profits earned by the student and their family.
Any band fundraiser that is designated as ‘individual’ or
‘general/individual’ will result in the pre-determined
portion being automatically added to the student’s individual
account when earned.
This money will be applied towards the assessment,
reducing the expense to the parent.
Fundraiser monies earned through participation in band
fundraisers cannot be used for the personal gain of any student.
