What a day we had for all of you to shine as part of the BANDS OF IRMO. Although we missed some of the sun shine we could have enjoyed early, all of your positive spirits more then made up for the "in every life a little rain must fall" statement. I have always felt the bonds of friendship are much stronger through suffering, and boy do I feel more bonded. Thank you to the group of dedicated individuals who were at the school from 7:00 AM on Saturday to a little after 2:00 AM on Sunday. Without this group Palmetto could not have happened, and some of those same people were back on Sunday afternoon to finish up the hundred little details that needed to be put back in place for practice on Monday. Thank you to Caroline and Chris Buck for the months of preparation and planning that goes into this event. While the rain did dampen our attendance slightly from other years, we still had a successful event and should have the final numbers in a couple of weeks even if a bit smaller then planned. Just a few other interesting observations and thoughts, the judges and other directors were once again impressed with all the students and parents they in countered from Irmo, once again putting our best foot forward. The chance for our students and parents to inter act with other students and parents is so very valuable for the growth of our program. Once again thank you to everyone wether you worked one shift or multiple, with out the dedication of our parents and supporters our students would not have half the opportunities that they do now.
