Dear Band Families,
Just a couple of reminders and a letter from our
new band director.
1. Is your student physically ready for band camp? We are running twice a week
at 7:00 am Tuesdays at the Dam and Saturdays at the high School track. Just a
little work each week will help make two weeks in July a breeze.
2. Thursday night music rehearsals begin on July 7 in the band room at the high
School. Remember to run your scales to keep those skills sharp.
3. Needs for band camp beginning on July 25th, Water thermos at least 1 quart
size, tennis shoes, hat, sun screen, and a student that is ready for physical
activity outside in the heat of July.
4. Does your student know their music?
5. Garage Sale is Saturday July 30th at 8:00 am, remember to save some stuff to
donate to the band for us to sell. If you have items to sell at your own table
this is an 80/20 fundraiser, 80 % goes to your students account and 20% to the
general fund. We will begin accepting donations of items to the band on July
1st.
6. Cobb fundraiser will begin on July 27th.
7. If you have not turned in your paperwork for next season we need it before
band camp, please mail it in to PO Box 595 Irmo SC 29063. The forms at on the
web site and can be filled in and then printed and mailed. We need these for
the safety of your student during camp.
