My wish is that each and every member of our band family has a joyous and happy Christmas, and safe travels for those traveling.

Congratulations to Mr. Simpson for being named teacher of the month in November in case you missed the announcement in novembers Jacket Journal located on line on the High Schools web site.  There is also a very nice article and pictures from the winter concert but the file is too large to email out to everyone.

Teacher and Support Persons for November

Irmo High School PTSO is pleased to recognize an outstanding teacher and an outstanding support person on a monthly basis. Individuals so recognized receive certificates, gift cards, and lunch by Chick-Fil-A in Columbiana Centre. Our two winners for the month of November are Mrs. Ellen Goza (Media Assistant) as Support Person of Month and Mr. Roger Simpson (Band Director) as Teacher of Month.

Of course we already knew this, but it is nice to know that others at the school are beginning to recognize this. 

This is short notice, but if you are free this evening Sunday 11/18 there is a free concert at St Andrews Pres church it is Christmas with the King's Brass.  I heard a little sample of them this morning and even I could not keep from tapping my foot so you know they were amazing.  The concert is free and begins at 6:00 PM but it is recommended you arrive at 5:00 PM to get a seat, and parking is also available at Crossroads school.   They played last night to a standing room only crowd.

Thank you to every band member who has made this year such a joyful one.  Thank you toevery band parent for your dedication and your gifts of time for each and every band student.  Have a very merry Christmas
