Subject: High School Concert bands

Dear high School Concert band Families,

Just a couple of reminders for this week.

Students need to be measured for dresses or Tux's this week so that they can be ordered.

Freshman Percussion class students and new Symphonic band male students please go to The Black Tie at 7001 St Andrews Rd in the Murray wood plaza next to Crossroads school by Thursday of this week.  Let them know you are an Irmo band member and need to be measured.  There is no charge for this service.  If you need a wing tipped tuxedo shirt, he can order one for you at a reasonable cost.  Your student will also need black dress shoes.

Concert band male students will be measured during class on Tuesday 11/15.  They will also need a wing tipped tux shirt and black dress shoes.  These may be ordered through the Black Tie 749-0172 or picked up at Burlington coat factory.

If you have a returning male student who rented a tux from us last year we will be trying on their tux from last year before or after band practice after school on Tuesday 11/15.

All female students will be measured before or after band practice on Tuesday after school. and dresses and shoes will be ordered for them, dresses will need to be hemmed once they arrive.  

The winter concert is December 8th in the cafeteria and everyone will need their tux or dress that evening.  Just a reminder dresses must be floor length.

The Calendar is up to date on the web site, so if you need an upcoming date please check there.

Fruit sales continue up to November 21, this is a great way to pay your way for the spring trip.  Forms are on the web site and in the band room last years spring trip cost around $300.00 and most student were able to fund raise all of this money.  

Reminder about the middle school concert this week at Midlands Tech Harbison Campus.
