Dear band Families,

“We wanted to do something different this year to finish our marching band season so we’re announcing our first ever Parent Post-view Frankie’s Night.  On Sunday, November 6th we will be performing the 2011 Immortal Show for the last time before we put the uniforms away until next year.  Bring friends and family and join us at 5pm in the IHS stadium.  Performance will be around 5:15 and then the kids will be available to take pictures with you in their uniform so bring your cameras and your best smile.  After the kids put away their uniforms, instruments and flags, please bring them to Frankie’s Fun Park at for dinner and some fun.  The Boosters will feed the marching band students and hi-steppers and give them some ride coupons.  We would love to have your whole family come as well.  No cost at all to come hang out.  If you would like dinner, it will be $2.25/person for a hot dog or Hamburger meal, and we will have discounted ride tickets available for you to purchase for siblings and other family members at a cost of $15.00 per three tickets.  If you came to the Parent Pre-view in August you saw just a hint of what the show would become; come on November 6th and help us honor the kids and the staff for their hard work this season.  We hope your student has grown both physically, musically, in responsibility and in discipline.  Come help us show them how proud we are of them.  See you many times in the next week before November 6th, but really hope to see you then.”

 

Please note the time change in practice on Tuesday and Thursday from what I sent out last night.

 

Are you planning on attending State 5A in Orange-burg this saturday?  We always like to have a group of parents at the rest stop half way in between Columbia and Orange-burg.  Watch for more information but start planning your sign to hold up as our busses pass the rest stop.  Caroline Buck will be planing this so please get in touch with her to let her know you will be there.  What a boost to our students it will be to see 100 people standing on the side of the road cheering them on, won't you be one of them?

 

It would be great to know how many people to plan on for Frankie's fun park for dinner, please hit reply to this email if you will be joining us for dinner and how many siblings you will have with you.
